Black Jack came into our rescue program on June 20, 2018. Black Jack came into our rescue program from the Beckham County Sheriff's Office as a cruelty case along with 12 other horses. Sadly, one died before we were able to get there. Black Jack is a Beautiful, Black, BLM Branded Mustang, Gelding. Black Jack is estimated to be 5 years of age. Black Jack is emaciated with a body score of a 1, infested with internal/external parasites, and anemic. Black Jack's feet were in horrible condition and lacked serious farrier care. Black Jack is a sweet boy, but he is scared and lacks confidence. We are still working on him being halter broke and broke to lead. This case is still pending and we are waiting for an update from Beckham County. We are praying for a resolution regarding these sweet horses soon. Once we receive word, we will update adoption status. Black Jack has a long road of recovery ahead of him. We will update as he improves. Please consider making a donation towards Black Jack's Rehabilitation.
